The Land of St. Francis

Within the soft folds of these hills, St. Francis preached to the swallows of Savurniano and to the wolf of Gubbio. In the local tradition of friendly animal-human relations, this cat at the retreat center was inordinately affectionate, always leaping on laps, invited or not. She particularly loved leaping onto Caveh, who happens to be allergic.
