The End

Well, that's it. We're back home, though over the course of the year, Rome has become a kind of home too.

I will miss the golden light on the pink buildings. I will miss the swarms of starlings. I will even miss the myriad corridor encounters at all hours of the day and night.

There's a chance I'll write a stray post or two in the future if something comes up concerning our community, like Adam's show at the Catherine Clark Gallery later this month. Or Tim's photograph of Obama for the New York Times. Or when our baby arrives.

In any case, thank you all for tuning in this year. It has meant a lot to me to hear from you.

In bocca al lupo
, or, May the she-wolf bear you gently in her incisors.

Just want to thank YOU for documenting our year together in such a special way, for being our collective memory and for capturing everything from the ridiculous to the beautiful.

Remember that arrivederci means until we meet again and not goodbye...

your stateside readers will miss the blog too, but glad you are back home in the Bay! A nice touch for the closing page, the sun rising on the SF hills...
